Roadrunner
Giri, we have yet to succeed in connecting the Mac to Wi-Fi internet in our apt. because our 10 year old Verizon WiFi Westel 327W modem is not compatible even with Ethernet Cable and even with Airport Extreme WAN device. Thursday a technician from Time Warner will install a cable modem to our already existing Cable TV and we hope the Extreme Airport will work with that so that we may discontinue the Verizon DSL. Mac people tell me that DSL is a dying beast. I will ask them regarding flash player. Our Mac Book is 6 years old but can still run Snow Leopard OS. The life expectancy of a Mac is about 6 year and then hardware and software advances to the point that an old Mac cannot be upgraded. I am told they are difficult to open and modify. I shall keep you posted. I would have considered Verizon FIOS but it is an all day installation with a crew of three techs and longer if there is only one technician and one must have a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) installed. We already do have the Time Warner Cabling and we do not require great speed for the simple things that we do
