The Publican and the Pharisee

Paul warns of deceivers preaching a false Christ so how do you know you are not one of those false Christians who have been demonically deceived?  Jesus himself tells of one group at the judgment who say "Lord Lord we have worked miracles in your name" and Jesus says "go away, I never knew you" but Jesus another group he tells "I was hungry and you fed me, etc." and that group ACTUALLY ARGUES saying "when did we do all these things." Now if you were standing before a fierce judge who was saying you are innocent would YOU argue and say you are really guilty.  I suspect there are many false Christians who are demonically deceived and worship a false Christ which is an "angel of light" (Lucifer) who takes on the semblance of Christ.

In fact, the only prayer in the Bible which is NEVER recited is the prayer of the Pharisee in the parable of the Publican and the Pharisee who is basically saying the same thing as "I am a devout Christian".... the Publican hung his head and said "have mercy on me a sinner" and the Publican was justified but not the Pharisee. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharisee_and_the_Publican
