Distorting Scripture
Many people twist and distort scripture to fit their own misguided agenda. II Peter Ch. 3 vs. 16 (I think) says "Paul has said some things with are difficult to understand and those who lack a foundation twist and distort them to their own destruction as they do many other verses." Such people really make me sick. One verse says Judas hanged himself. Another verse indicates something different. So people twist and distort until they can show that both verses are correct. One verse in Samuel says God COMMANDED David to take a census, but a verse in Kings says that Satan tempted David, and people use casuistry and equivocation to show that there is no conflict. If such morally and intellectually bankrupt people are going to heaven then I will take hell. The ONE thing that REALLY makes sense to me is Paul's warnings that Lucifer, the angel of light, appears as a false Christ. I am convinced that such took place with Martin Luther and the Reformation and everything that has come after the Reformation. The Greeks in the first 1000 years had some shred of wholesomeness. I am convinced that all televangelists are instruments of Satan (if a devil exists) and their doctrines lead people to damnation rather than salvation.
